Karate1 Premier League, Matosinhos / Oporto, Portugalsko 2022
The Karate1 Premier League, Matosinhos / Oporto, Portugal 2022 took place on April 22-24, 2022.
Only the 32 best athletes from all over the world in each weight category can take part in the Karate1 Premier League, where our young promising athletes in the senior category have also reached.
The Premier League was attended by: Dominik Imrich, Sára Krivdová, Maroš Janovčík a coach PaedDr. Jaroslav Javorský.
Dominik Imrich in the Kumite men’s 60 kg category after two won matches in the group with the representative from Azerbaijan in the state 2: 1 and the representative of Kazakhstan in the state 1: 0 advanced to the quarterfinals, in which he defeated the representative from Kuwait.
In the semifinals, the Greek national team was over his strength at 2: 4 after a controversial kick on the stomach in the last seconds of the match. In the fight for 3rd place, Dominik lost to the Olympic medalist, at the time of the tournament with a world unit and a representative of Turkey at 0: 2. He finished in 5th place.

Maroš Janovčík in the category Kumite men -75kg, in the first round he lost 5: 2 against the representative of Kazakhstan and the second round he won 2: 0 against the representative from Turkey.
Sára Krivdová in the category Kumite women – 68 kg, lost the first match 1: 0 with the racer from Greece, the second match lost 4: 0 with the national team from Azerbaijan – the world unit of the WKF rankings.
